Well, ladies and gentlemen...I'm heading back home. Chalk one up to another great week of High School football. Nice to see the Berry Center in person. Great game on Friday night and the awesome bands that I saw this week.

Back to the Rockland.

Until Thursday...

On the road again -
Just can't wait to get on the road again.
The life I love is making music with my friends

And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again

Goin' places that I've never been.
Seein' things that I may never see again

And I can't wait to get on the road again.
On the road again -

Great Willie Nelson track...

Where u goin next week?

I'm gonna try to go to the Lufkin-Longview matchup on Thursday.
Not sure on Friday--might catch a game at the old field house in Austin or see a NEISD game.
The Katy vs. Taylor matchup I will be attending Saturday.

Good game against Pflugerville. Good luck to the Lions the rest of the way.

"See" you all when I get back to Lubbock.

Well worth the trip.

Whew - that's some driving - drop me a PM if you're definitely coming all the way out to Lufkin. Good pics - but I'm wondering why there were so few people at the Cy Falls game?

Until Saturday, I have never been in Houston...ever! The closest I came to Houston was when I was 9 and we had a family reunion in Fulcher.

The Houston area where Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is at was fairly easy to get around. I found the schools quite easily. Looking forward going to Red Tiger Land.

Big Red vs. Big Blue!!!

There was a good amount on the visitor's side (Cy Falls side). Most of the pics were from the visitor's side--so the views captured Cy Creek's side.

Barring any unforseen calamity, I should be going down to the Piney Woods area.

Panthers vs. Lobos!!!

It's not bad. My car is pretty fuel efficient on the highway (about 30+ miles to the gallon). On the way home, I filled up at Lampassas (I think I spelled it correctly--probably not) and HEB and a Valero supplied gas station were having some gas price war. I filled up at 1.95 a gallon. I was happy.

Nah, I didn't. Did see the store though. I got the gasoline at H-E-B.

When I leave on Sunday, I take this route to go home so I'll give them a try. Can't turn down good food.

While you are in the area, you might want to fit a return trip to Fulshear into your schedule, as Dozier's (http://chefmoz.org/United_States/TX/Fulshear/Dozier's_Grocery_and_Meat_Market1053056589.html) is probably some of the best barbecue around, and not too far out of the way from Katy.

Have a good trip! And wear red!! :)

RD - I think an even better theme song for your HS football travels would be Brian Burns' Texas adaptation of "I've Been Everywhere".
