there is a greater than zero chance that during the po's this year, there will be a televised game of the week. apparently, fsn is working on it and will pick one of the best games and send it out to the masses. if fsn starts the ball rolling, will espn be far behind?

Now we all know what you know and you now know what that means.:)

I wish FSN or some TV affiliate would have a High School 'Game of the Week' throughout the season. That would give us all a chance to see more teams play.

They have to be careful though, or people will realize how much more exciting the HS playoffs are than whatever it is we have in Division I College football. :)

As long as UIL gets the money, and not the Carroll (or whichever) ISD, I'm okay with it.

That would be awesome! That way I could do more than sit here and listen to the internet broadcasts to know what's going on in the games too far away to attend. I'm sure the UIL has all kinds of crazy rules for televised playoff games tho.

the rules apply for the reg season only. fri is ok in the po's. i suggest a fri and a sat game. just like more cowbell, more texas hs football is always a good thing.

Yes, the UIL certainly needs more money as opposed to the school districts.

actually, i was one of the old farts sitting on the 50 with the real fans. i used to be a young fart, but my knees are telling me to change my name tag sooner than later.

When I finally got there, the parking lots was packed, so I just went home and went to bed. I am an old fart. Besides, last weekend at Mel's felt pretty ugly Saturday morning. Thought I would take a weak off to recover from margarita overload.

Would that be granddaddy yet? Since we are, I can tell you it is the best!!
One of the benefits of being an old fart.

We play two Thursday night games so we may have a chance to meet again before po's start.
