west point sr ricky lay, a 2 yr qb from slc, was injured and taken off in an ambulance with unknown injuries late in the army-rice game today. he was hit in the helmet on a kickoff return. please keep him in your prayers.

There has also been head trauma to a Kansas defense player #33 in the Nebraska game. Its unfortunate that these injuries are part of the game. Prayers go out to these players and their families.

The update on this player is that he is being taken to the hospital. He is responding but cannot move his arms or legs. Lets hope this is just temporary.

Wow, I just saw that... scary... especially because he was concious but showed no movement at all. Not even a thumbs up or anything.

Yes, you could see his body go limp after contact when they showed the replay. :(

Update: :) Good news, Eric Washington,the player for Kansas with head trauma has regained feeling in his arms and legs. You have to wonder if his football playing days are over though.

Wow.. thank goodness. Football is probably his last concern after expereincing temporary paralyzation. I couldn't imagine that.
