The boy can play... WOW... the only reason he would need to stay away from UT is because its real easy to get in trouble to many things to do... but If he goes to Tech or A&M.... he can do absolutely nothin and play football... well actually if he were to go A&M he would learn that baaaaaa means no!

wow, that one hander was sick
what seperates him from the pack (no pun intended) is how he goes to the ball, uses his size to go up and get it, doesnt wait for it to come down.
has he commited? who is he looking at?

He has many more offers then this (basically has his choice if his grades and SAT is ok) but here is his favorites per rivals. Praying he goes to play for my Hawks. :) Listed as a 4 star right now but I expect him to be a 5 star when the season end. There is not many 5 stars on a yearly basis. Usually averages around 25.
Per Rivals.com today!!

I hope he goes to Tech. A Wide Receiver can truly shine under Pirate Mike's offensive setup.
I'm pretty sure Hicks and Filani will be drafted in the NFL Draft at respectable slots. Surely, Bryant would do well under a pass-happy system.
Now, Tech just needs to make sure that the QB situation truly stabilizes and starts to blossom next year.

i dont think so, ummm there was this guy that graduated from your school that will more then likely be going pro he leads the NCAA in touchdowns but i cant think of his name, what was it??? O YA JAVORSKI LANE!!!!!!

Dez is a good kid and is focused on what he has to do. I've talked with him a time or too and it is always yes sir and no sir and thank you. No I know he's only 17 so don't think he acts 32, but for a kid with this much spotlight, he's alright in my book. I think it has been good for him to see first hand that talent alone can't get you to the next level. From what I understand he's getting done. I love having the opportunity to watch this kid play on Friday nights. But to be fair, Thomas, Davis, and Mac along with some others are just as exciting and could have their own highlight videos. These kids never let their team mates down.

Yeah and Kiel was a former Lufkin and aggie player who starts at safety for the Chargers. So what? I still would not want to go a&m as a wr or a qb. NFL suicide. ;) Fran might throw it to Dez once a game? Please do not go to aggie Dez! Do not even consider it.

does anyone remember the Longview game? I think I remember them mentioning that Dez may have some grade or SAT issues. Of course they said these things as they were talking about the running back and his high gpa.
How would low grades/SATs affect his college recruiting?

if i was Dez i would stay away from any texas school, even tech theres to many recievers even tho theres mostly 5 recievers at a time barely any of them ever go pro, and mack brown has about 2 or 3 recievers who have just as much potential as Dez, if he could i would go to LSU or maybe somewhere on the westcoast where they pass a lot but only to there main recievers

it does go into affect yes, but there is many college loop holes that coaches know about the NCAA you think every good athlete is the smartest one??? you have to be kidding me if you think that

he is going to be a stand out stud where ever he goes trust me! Yeah one of those future big time UT wr's J Finley is Javorskie Lane's half brother. He does not even compare to Dez IMO. Dez is a freak! J-Mike is a freak also but Dez is the better wr overall.
Of course I want him to go to Iowa but I doubt he will go up there. Would be cool to see him at UT also. I am thinking LSU or Oklahoma! Him and Malcom Kelly (former Longview star) would be a wicked east texas combo at wr for OU.

he is supposedly doing much better and has improved his standing on academic issues. It would be a tragedy if that guy can't go div1. I guess he could be like a Randy Moss though? I think he will make the grades to get in. He seems like an intelligent and good kid. I would be shocked if we do not see him in the NFL in about 4 years.
