That I can watch SW Miss. State vs. N. Idaho Tech on ESPN or FOXSW everyweek but nobody carries the Texas A&M games. For all you Aggy haters who will unload on this question, that's not the intent. I'm just wondering what goes into the networks decisions to broadcast some games. Why is it that I can always find a bunch of games with out of state teams that I've never even heard of but can't find any broadcasts of the Aggies?

Probably for the same reasons Dollar Bill said aggy is having trouble getting radio stations in Texas to carry aggy games... sponsorship money. Bottom line, networks are going to carry the games that are going to make the most money. Apparently, aggy doesn't do that.

When I was in SA, next week's UT game and some Aggie games like Sam Houston were on Pay Per View. Some people will pay $30 to see it. I guess if you can't get tickets, it might be worth it.

My thoughts are that the best UT games will be on ABC, so FSN takes what they can. People will watch. Even I watched the North Texas game.

A&M needs a good angle or decent opponent to get on TV. UT just needs to have a game. That's the way it works. I wish they put games on TV that you know going in have a good shot at being good viewing. CSTV doesn't count since I can't get it.

Here are some examples:

Houston-Oklahoma State. Both teams can score and put up like 1000 yards of offense tonight.

Tech-UTEP. You knew there would be scoring in that game.

Tech-TCU. Why wasn't this Top 25 matchup more publicized? I was at the game and think it was on OLN. OLN!!!:mad:

We got to see that crappy Kansas game today.

The Big XII has conference affiliations with ABC and Fox Sports. ABC gets first dibs and picks the Big XII games they want to show (the ones that will make the most money). When they've picked what they want, FSN gets the leftovers. Every now and then, ESPiN will take a game and TBS usually takes a Big XII game or two during the course of a season, but they have to work out a deal with ABS/ESPiN/Disney and FSN first. Even then, there are more games than time slots and frankly, there aren’t enough people that care about aggy/LA Tech to show it on TV.

jtk did compare me to Brian Wilson today...so sticking with the whole Beach Boys theme I guess I should "Be true" to my school.

Can't do it man. I was a Longhorn fan long before I was a Bearkat.
I love my Mama...but if she strapped on a helmet and lined up against the Longhorns....she's going down.:eek:

I know how you feel. More than ever, I have a shot to be torn come bowl season this year.

Air Force- I wanted to go there and was nominated by my Congressman. I never got appointed, but I joined anyway. My vocation has permanently linked me to that school and I've been a fan for 20 years.

Houston- I've been with these guys since the late 70's because my uncle played there.

Texas Tech- I'm a West Texas guy and like the West Texas team. Even though UH should've joined the Big 12, them getting left behind eliminates the split loyalties.

It was tough when Reggie was wearing the maroon ...now he's gone and Javorskie is there.
Along with a couple of other Lufkin guys. It's really weird to root for a guy and then root against them the next year.

I don't ever have to worry about that because I have a coach that doesn't try to get his guys recruited. We have 3000 yard RB's that go to Angelo State.:mad:

I was under the impression that FSN was carrying it. They showed a promo for it today. I could be wrong though. I was dozing off between games maybe I dreamed it or something. :confused:

It's at 6, but I thought they were showing somebody else.

Right now the game is scheduled to be on FSN pay per view, but it could be bumped up to FSN.

They were saying today they had a tripleheader next week. It's 2 Big 12 games and a Pac-10. I don't think UT was one of them. It's more crappy Big 12 North games.

Nah, UT will take it easy on them. Tech won 62-0 today and UT will be somewhere in the 50's range next week.
