This is worth a thread. I'm watching the Kansas-South Florida game and the KU QB just fumbled. The announcers said Mark Mangino was going to explode when he sees the tape. I said "He's already about ready to explode!":p

It is so immature to pick on fat people. Yet for some reason I find it very amusing. I'm just wrong I guess.

Hey, I'm an ex-fatty, and I understand. I may not really like it, since I was there, but I understand.
What really chaps me is how media and Hollywood types can be so cruel and condescending about it sometimes. Especailly radio guys. They can get really cruel at times, really ragging on, as they say, "fat girls". The skinny twigs they fuss over are mostly just "roots" as human beings. Give me a woman with a full figure any day. You are much more likely to find a good person, than trying to compete with a slender girls ego.
JMHO.

At work at the post office, I get asked at least twice a week to do my Fat _astard impersonation. I must admit, I do it well, but since I lost 135 lbs. this last year, they say that it just isn't like it used to be. :D

im with ya to an extent. i was once in the round and robust category as well and i can say hearing other people tell you about it wasnt fun. however, i have no sympathy towards anyone 16 years of age and older that is overweight. they have reached the time in their life where they can do something about it on their own, i know i did. i do believe in castrating the ********* who makes fun of any youngun for being overweight

In all seriousness, coach Mangino has a problem and he has to fix it. As a fellow fat bay (though, thankfully not near as bad as the coach) I hope he will take the steps necessary to get in better shape. I'm a big Mangino fan. Despite his BCS rant from a couple of years ago, he's one of my favorite "up-and-coming" coaches in college football and his future is bright, but his physical condition combined with the enormous stress involved in coaching Div. 1A football is a recipe for disaster. It is my opinion that college football is a better game with coach Mangino on the sideline and I hope he is around for a long time to come.

I like Mangino. The way he's been packing on the pounds, I figured it must be something medically. Is it just a case of him having a bad diet?

I didn't jump off of anything. I've been a Mangino fan for a long time. I was a fan of Mangino as a coach even when he was working for Darth Visor and the dirt burglars. The man can coach and I don't know if anybody has noticed, but he has kept a strong presence in Texas. 10 of the 25 recruits he signed in February were from Texas and 3 of his 6 recruits currently committed are from Texas. He's building something up there.

A Krispy Kreme?:p
Seriously, they blasted Houston in the Fort Worth Bowl last year and they're doing pretty good for a team from Kansas.
