I'd have to say this is the least disputed region for DI. ;)

I agree, thier arent many teams that can compete with NS defense...Maybe 2 that can truley challange NS.... D2 may be up for grabs though

Well, assuming Katy goes to Division 2, then the odds-on favorite in Div 1 is certainly going to be North Shore, with possibly Cy Fair as a dark horse. It will be interesting to see how Cinco Ranch develops this year also, they ought to be D1 bound. Houston Lamar deserves a mention I think also. Nimitz could be bound for D1 and they sure looked good against PA Memorial. Pearland is pretty good but if they come up against North Shore early in the bracket it will be lights out for them. Humble bears watching as a decent D1 contender. And who knows if Ike is going to return to their old form, it would appear they played North Shore fairly well. (We'll see this week how long they can hang with Lufkin).
If Katy goes to D1 (if both Alief Taylor and Katy Taylor get in), then hopefully the bracket will set up a regional final between Katy and North Shore. That would be a lot of fun to anticipate. Otherwise I see North Shore vs. Cy Fair. No matter how you slice it, it's North Shore's region to lose, unless somehow Katy ends up in D1.
I am headed to Katy / AMC on Friday night. I hear a lot of apprehension from the Katy faithful right now since they have not looked like their usual overwhelming selves so far. But they might find themselves on Friday night and then roll through 18-5A just like always. There are a few who think this might be the year that Cinco Ranch catches up to Katy, but I'm not one of them.

The Katy magic always seems to find a way to win:) Wish they would sell that stuff!

Katy Taylor actually has about 20 more students than Katy according to the UIL numbers, so you can almost guarantee the Tigers will be in Division 2.

Right now for Div one i would put NS, Cy-fair, Pearland and Humble as the only four with a chance out of region 3... It will be one of those four, but its looking like NS more and more.

Have to go with Shore right now. There is a good article in the Chronicles prep- high school blog about NS and Cy Falls fron R3. As I've said before, NS is a team of unknown, unheralded players. There seems to be no one superstar but a huge superstar team effort. I like it that way. Just keep winning and let the record speak for itself. We still have a long way to go before it is all said and done.

yep.. i still think our offense needs to get better... but our defense alone might be good enough to get us the region....but... a long way to go...
