Road warriors stole the show in the opening week of the 2010 season.

Region 1- Euless Trinity

The defending state champions succesfully navigated a tricky opening road game at Tyler Lee in a 35-0 shutout win.  The tough venue, opponent and late kick time couldn’t stop the Trojans.

Region 2- DeSoto

The Eagles traveled down I-35 to earn a tough away victory at Leander, 56-35.   DeSoto trailed by one after three quarters, but outscored the Lions 36-14 in an explosive fourth quarter.

Region 3- Katy

The Tigers matched their combined point total from the previous two years (16) against North Shore  in the first half of this year’s match-up.  North Shore drew first blood at 6-0, but Katy replied with 44 unanswered points.  The 44-6 margin was North Shore’s worst defeat since losing 56-14 to Westfield in the 2004 playoffs.

Region 4- San Antonio Macarthur

The Brahmas stunned Judson 31-14 at Heroes Stadium.  The win sends a warning message to area adversaries.  The win itself is not as surprising as the margin given Judson has been touted as one of San Antonio’s top teams this year.
